Julie Freudiger

Julie Freudiger studied History of Art, German Literature and Linguistics at the University of Zurich. She graduated in the end of 2009 in History of Art with an M.A. thesis on intersections and differences between art and science, as well as their relation with perception and epistemic knowledge using the example of the artists Olafur Eliasson and Paul Signac. In 2008 she was involved as a trainee and scientific officer at the museum Kunsthaus Zug in an exhibition and its publication on perception, neo-impressionism and modern art. Since 2009 she works there in irregular intervals as a scientific officer on different projects and publications. Since February 2010 she is academic assistant at the Chair for Science Studies at the ETH Zurich, working in the NCCR project Iconic Criticism “eikones” (University of Basel) on her PhD thesis on perception, image and epistemology.
